The Sunrise lift is expected to open during the 2022-23 season. The next two helicopter days will focus on pouring the concrete into the new lift towers, and then putting the forthcoming lift towers in place. This helicopter day focused on removing the old towers.

This week’s update showed the first of three helicopter days being done on the mountain. Stowes 116 trails and 13 lifts provide all members of your family, from beginners to advanced skiers and riders, an environment that is fun and diverse. Follow these steps to protect the rare, fragile, and endangered vegetation. Actual openings, days and times will vary depending on weather and time of season. The summit of Mount Mansfield reaches 4,395 feet and is one of the few places in Vermont that is home to a unique alpine tundra zone.
Berkshire East and Catamount owner Jon Schaefer apologizes for project delays including two used lifts which have yet to open. Pine Knob says it will be without Chair 1 for a few weeks due to a mechanical issue. In their first construction update, which was posted last week, they had begun taking down the old Mountain Triple and announced an auction of the old chairs(which took place last week). Note: Early and late season operations may have limited lift and terrain operations. Doppelmayr will build Stowe’s Mountain six passenger lift at a cost of 5.2 million. Along with the added capacity and speed improvements, the lift’s base terminal will be set next to the Mansfield Lodge, reducing the need to climb the infamous staircase to the former Mountain Triple.
